Existing Valentina Tereshkova Artwork

 As part of my research process for my narrative regarding my historical character Valentina Tereshkova, it’s important i looked a visual examples of artwork that was created previously to help tell all about tershkova’s life, character and career. Therefore as part of my research i sourced a range of different illustrations including Valentina and annotated them in my sketchbook.

 

The three photographs above show my sketchbook pages where i captured these details and annotations. I feel this piece of research feel crucial to my development when it comes to creating and capturing my character as it allows me o see how others have chose to do this and what different effective elements i liked and how they could be incorporated into my own work. Moving forward from this research i intend to capture more thumbnail sketches not only of Valentina but also different elements such as the Vostok 6, the clothes she would often wear no even her space suits. I feel these are all important elements and by collecting that research and creating those responses i am only adding to my factual knowledge regarding my character and her life.
