Final Character Sheet

 After completing my character sheet plan and line work, i began colouring and adding to the overall design. The idea of my character sheet was to really show how my character acts and looks in different situation. For example in the middle you can see i show Valentina in her traditional space suit showing two expressions, worry and excitement as well as the suit with the added helmet. It was important to show these different faces as if it was put into a professional situation the team that is working on the project would look by and refer to the character sheet to see how the character should look and be presented. 

I also wanted to show Valentina from different angles so as well as her shoulder up pose i also included a full body drawing so the viewer can get a sense for the character, her shape and also how she stands, i feel this is an important element as a way someone holds them self may reflec their characteristics. For example, in the full body drawing i wanted to show Valentina holding herself strong and confident. I feel this was and important way for her to look as Valentina was considered a strong and powerful character who often seemed fearless within her approach to parachuting and joking to soviet space program. I wa happy with how these drawings came out and felt each communicated Valentina in different ways. I also included the detail of height to the right of the drawing, i chose to include this as i feel it’s an important detail as again if this character was to be used in a team the artists would need to know the height to compare it to other characters if placed together in the same scene. 

As well as height and expressions it was also important i showed Valentina in different uniform that she may appear in during her animation or story. For example the first illustration shows her in her military uniform her blazer covered in medals that she received after completing her space mission i feel this was important to show her after her mission as it shows her and her recognition for her service for both science and her important part in history. I feel the placement of the medals also contrasts against the khaki blazer and therefore draws the viewers eyes in. I also included Valentina in her orange outer suit and also her blue inner suit which she wore underneath during her space mission. I wanted to show this suit as it was not featured often throughout my narrative however played an important part within my research and her build during her mission. 

Overall I am happy with how my character sheet turned out, i particularly like how i included the backgrounds from other visual application illustrations to help bring context and really  show the character and personality of Valentina. It was important to also add these patterns and details as it makes the viewer more interested in the piece and draw them into the character sheet as a whole. If i was to improve further i would work on expanding my character sheet maybe looking at some other element such as more expressions ad viewpoints, however for a start and base look into my character i feel this is effective and informal the viewer inti who my character really is.
